Big Delicious Planet has been Chicago's premiere rock-n-roll caterer since 1994. Catering backstage for the rock band Aerosmith was a great first event! Our creative menus from Indian to Caribbean, vegetarian to vegan surely got us noticed. Since then, we have catered more than a thousand concerts. Stadium shows have included Jimmy Buffett at Wrigley Field, Bruce Springsteen at US Cellular Field, Bon Jovi at Soldier Field and Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival at Toyota Park. Summer Amphitheatre shows have included Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Cher, Sting, Ozzfest & Lollapalooza. While rock-n-roll catering is in our blood and keeps us busy year round, we do cater at tons of other events.
With owner Heidi Moorman Coudal's background as a commercial film producer, BDP has been catering film & photo shoots from the start. People who are shooting the likes of Michael Jordan, John Travolta, Will Ferrell, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks and chef Rick Bayless know BDP will make them look great and delight their clients and crew.
Big Delicious Planet has a regular clientele ranging from law firms to ad agencies which we cater to daily. We are the exclusive daytime caterer to Catalyst Ranch, a creative meeting space in Chicago's West Loop and we are the house backstage caterer to The Chicago Theatre, Aragon Ballroom, Riviera Theatre and other venues.
Whether it's a private home dinner party in honor of Senator Barack Obama, a simple backyard BBQ or a lovely fall wedding at A New Leaf, BDP does it in style.
What do our clients have in common? They want to hire a highly creative caterer who takes great pride in the quality of their food and presents it beautifully, in a friendly, low-key manner. We have the years and clients to prove it.
